The short version
Zoom is the default way to put a lot of people in one call, and the least friction there is for sending a link to someone outside your company. It scales to numbers we do not aim at, and it does that reliably.
HOLOH Workspaces is not a meeting product with a workspace attached. Channels and the shared calendar are in the same window as the call, and the call itself is a room rather than a grid of tiles.
What is around the call
This is where the two differ most. In Zoom, the meeting is the object: you schedule it, join it, and it ends. In HOLOH the room belongs to the channel it sits next to, and the meeting appears on the same calendar as everything else.

- Pick the time and the room in the same step, on one calendar
- Start a call from any channel or DM without scheduling it

Meetings and limits
Zoom documents its limits in its help centre, so this table quotes them rather than characterising them.

What each one costs
One honest gap here. Zoom's pricing table is built in the browser and its product page gave the figure only in part, so there is no Zoom price on this page. Quoting a number from somebody else's blog is exactly what this page promises not to do.

When Zoom is the better fit
Three cases where we would tell you to stay.
- You run all-hands and webinars. Zoom documents 300, 500 and up to 1,000 participants depending on plan and add-on. We do not aim there.
- You meet mostly with people outside your company. Everyone already knows what to do with a Zoom link, and that is worth a lot.
- You need telephony and events in the same contract. That is a product line, not a feature, and we do not have it.
What we would say for HOLOH: if most of your meetings are internal, recurring, and feel like a grid of boxes you dial into, that is the problem we are built for.
